I’ve received a voice mail from Madison and talked to Taylor in the past two days. Madison sounded great and was looking forward to getting back. She didn’t provide much detail but said she’d call when she was back in Texas. Both girls will spend today and tomorrow debriefing with their teams before flying back to Iowa on Saturday.

Taylor was at the Bucharest airport waiting for her flight back to the states when she called yesterday. She was tired and knew she wouldn’t be getting much sleep in the coming few days with the travel and the jet lag, but she was in good spirits. She said that her team had been allowed to help out at one of the government orphanages, which are generally not open to missionaries. They had a great time of loving the children and Taylor had the opportunity to lead a girl to faith in Christ.

It’s hard to believe that the girls’ month on the mission field is almost over, and yet it seems like forever since I’ve seen them or hugged them. I can’t wait to see them on Saturday and will share pictures when I get them. Thanks again to all who have supported the girls with your gifts and your prayers.
