The stage was set, we had a good house and the curtain went up on time at 7:00. It was a great opening night for The Dominie’s Wife! I was so happy to have family and friends there. My folks came down, and Wendy’s Grandma, Aunt and Great Aunt were there. Kevin and Becky Roose also came down from Des Moines.

I tell you what, I don’t think I’ve ever been in a production that ran as smoothly and with less effort. I keep waiting for the wheels to fall off somewhere. The only problem we had was the old guy’s hearing aid in the front of the house that kept feeding back with a terrible high pitched squeak (it was an older crowd last night!). One show down – three more to go!
