Chapter-a-Day Psalm 27

Solitude I’m asking God for one thing, only one thing: To live with him in his house my whole life long. I’ll contemplate his beauty; I’ll study at his feet. Psalm 27:4 (TM)

What have I asked God for? The list would fill gigabytes on a hard-drive. I’m constantly asking. I’m an ask-a-holic. While I prescribe to the "you don’t have because you don’t ask", and Jesus promises "ask and you’ll receive" – I do think there’s a worthwhile message in David’s Psalm:

Contentment is found in God’s presence.

  1. 6 God holds me head and shoulders
above all who try to pull me down.
When work and busyness consume us, this is a great reminder. God sings, “Lean on me, when you’re not strong…..” God give me the strength to carry on.
