Chapter-a-Day 2 Timothy 3

Rockyroad
Don’t be naive. There are difficult times ahead
. 2 Timothy 3:1 (TM)

Sometimes the scriptures can fly right in the face of our politically correct, idealistic thoughts. I don’t mean to be a wet blanket here, but I sometimes I have to shake my head at those who have a Utopian view of things. The scriptures are, time and time again, reminding us that we will reap the consequences of our own sin and selfishness. The road is gonna be rocky.

That doesn’t mean we stop our efforts at pursuing love, righteousness and peace. It’s not an excuse to give up. Paul said it well, just "don’t be naive".
