In God’s economy, you are given without having done anything to earn it. It is a truth both amazing and frustrating. That which God has to give is beyond price, and there is no amount of goodness or good deeds that could possibly make up the sum. David, standing smack-dab on the timeline back in the days of the Law, gives us a glimpse of what you and I can experience here in the age of grace – when the most humble and sinful are brought near to God by the blood of Christ.
