“If you live by my decrees and obediently keep my commandments….”
“But if you refuse to obey me and won’t observe my commandments….”
“On the other hand, if they confess their sins and the sins of their ancestors….”
Leviticus 26:3, 14, 40 (MSG)

Sometimes this life journey can be boiled down to blessedly simple steps:

  1. Obey God
  2. Disobey God

If you choosing 2. then proceed to:

3. Confess and repent.

Here endeth the lesson.

  1. Simple and well said Tom.

  2. 3-5 “If you live by my decrees and obediently keep my commandments, I will send the rains in their seasons, the ground will yield its crops and the trees of the field their fruit.

Christians will periodically get into discussions about “earning” God’s grace, love and protection. We comment on how there is nothing we can do to earn our salvation. I agree with the point theologically. However, in this chapter today, we read how God’s instructions to the Israelites were very much based on their obedience. If you…..I will. If you don’t…..I won’t. It causes me pause today to think about my obedience and why I make the decisions I do.
