Madison and I had a BLAST yesterday. I had a quick overnight trip to the Twin Cities and so I pulled her from school and brought her along with me. I am all too aware that these opportunities are quickly slipping away.
While I had my meetings Madison shopped at Ikea and the Mall of America (I've learned that you can't take a teenage girl to Minneapolis and NOT stop at the Mall of America!). Madison recently got a new eyeglasses prescription, so I helped her pick out some new glasses and she helped ol' dad pick out a few new articles of clothing.
Then it was downtown to the hotel to change and over to our family favorite, Buca's, for dinner. After stuffing ourselves, we waddled over to the Guthrie Theatre for a performance of "The Two Gentlemen of Verona"[see clandestine photo taken while we were waiting for the show to begin!] It was awesome. They set the Shakespeare classic on a 1955 soundstage and we became the live studio audience watching a taping of the show. Madison and I laughed so hard. It was a total hoot.
I'm getting ready to take Madison to Al's Breakfast and then I have another meeting before we head back!
