I took Taylor and Madison to the airport this morning. They are headed to the mission field for a month. Taylor and her friends Sophie & Emily (pictured) are off to Romania. Madison is off to Thailand. They will all go to Texas for a couple of days of orientation then head to their respective fields.

It was chaos at the airport. Weekend rains/storms have travel already backed up. The girls’ 9:00 flight is already back up until 11:30 and that means more delays for their connection in Denver. It could be a loooooong day of air travel (welcome to my world, girls – hehehehehe). Many thanks are due to Sophie’s dad who used his status with United to get the girls checked in and all their back-up flights arranged.

It was also a pleasant surprise to run into our old friends the Vander Lindens at the airport. They are headed to California to visit their daughter and were on the same delayed flight as Taylor & Madison. At least they’ll have some friends to watch out for them on the first leg of their journey!
