Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching. Hebrews 10:24-25 (TM)

I was meeting with my friend, Mike, at Panera the other day. He got up to get a cookie. "Oatmeal or Chocolate Chip?" he asked me. I asked for chocolate chip. He then turned to the stranger sitting at the table behind us, working on his laptop. "Oatmeal or Chocolate Chip?" he asked. The stranger looked shocked, but when the question was posed a second time he asked for chocolate chip. The cookies were delivered and nothing more was said. Nevertheless, by the time we left, Mike had the opportunity to introduce himself to the man and talk a little bit about who he was and what he did for a living.

How inventive is that? It cost Mike $1.29 to show love to a stranger, and just maybe have the opportunity to share more of the love of Christ with him. What have I done to be "inventive" in loving others? You?
