Summing up: Be agreeable, be
sympathetic, be loving, be compassionate, be humble. That goes for all
of you, no exceptions. No retaliation. No sharp-tongued sarcasm.
Instead, bless—that’s your job, to bless. You’ll be a blessing and also
get a blessing. I Peter 3:8-9 (TM)

Do I bless people? That’s the question I had to ask myself while reading today’s verse. Am I a "people-builder" or are the words of my mouth a wrecking ball? Do I compliment? Do I express gratitude? What goes around – comes around – and I’d prefer to receive blessing from others.

God, help me to be a blessing to others today. Make me conscious of what I say to people and what I say about people.
